The Southampton Academy school community (teachers, staff, students, and families) is honored to welcome international students to our campus. International Students immediately feel embraced by the “Southampton Academy Family.” We believe that students do their best work when they are happy. We are dedicated to providing our International Students with a rigorous college preparatory education, comprehensive college counseling, and a meaningful introduction to American life.
Southampton Academy is located in the small, beautiful, safe, quiet community of Courtland, Virginia. Our students reside in our International Dorm House (see pictures below) or with host families. Students residing at the dorm house have a membership at a local fitness center, walking distance from the dorm house, where they can swim, use the exercise equipment, play tennis, play basketball, play racquetball, or take yoga classes.
Southampton Academy is committed to helping our International Students excel academically and prepare for college in the United States. Our headmaster meets with all Junior and Senior students to help them prepare a personized college portfolio. He is the primary guidance counselor for graduating students applying to top schools in the USA.
All International students who are Juniors or Seniors are given SAT/ACT prep software. All International Students receive ESL as their language course.
