ENROLLMENT - $375
This fee is per student and required at enrollment with a max of $900 for new families.

Variable Fees

TEXTBOOKS AND DEVICES:

Lower School students receive textbooks to use at the beginning of the year, as well as supplemental consumable materials.  The books are leased to students.  That fee and the costs of supplemental materials are billed to parents in the fall.

Middle and Upper School students purchase textbooks and workbooks from an approved list. Some required supplemental consumable materials and gym uniforms will be billed in the fall. A Chromebook capable of running the latest version of Google Chrome OS or PC with Windows 10 is preferred for all Upper School students during the school day.

HOT LUNCH
The hot lunch program varies from $6.25 to $8.00, dependent upon grade level and quantity of food ordered.

EXTENDED CARE PROGRAM
The before school and after-school care program is available from 7:00 a.m. until the start of school and from 3:08 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. The program is billed based upon hours attended.

TRANSPORTATION
The Academy buses from southern (NC), north and western (Emporia/Stony Creek), and eastern (Franklin/Suffolk) routes. Fees for transportation services are determined based upon the radius of the bus stop from the school. Click here to view an interactive map with the bus routes, stops, and fees.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Southampton Academy offers financial assistance to help make an independent school education accessible.  This assistance, available for K-12 students only, is based on the family’s overall financial status as determined by School Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS).

  • All parents or guardians must complete applications online at School and Student Services. SSS will determine when a family qualifies for a fee waiver and will automatically grant it.

  • The SSS application code for Southampton Academy is 7419 and the helpline is 800-344-8328.

  • SA—not SSS—determines awards of financial assistance based upon parents’ needs, current and projected enrollment, funds available, and other school-related financial factors.

  • A copy of the most recent federal tax return from both of the student’s parents or guardians is required. Personal financial information provided to SA is treated confidentially seen only by the Head of School and the Business Manager. Parents may offer the Head of School (in writing) additional information about special financial circumstances or needs.

  • Families’ financial assistance is not automatically renewed.  If applicable, a new application is required annually.
